Other Sectors

The same organisational patterns, in sectors beyond the first seven.

Zoom Riddle’s Perspectives cover seven sectors in depth. Organisational patterns do not stop at those boundaries: an accounting practice, a clinic group and a regional retailer meet versions of the same questions. This page lists further sectors and points to the covered sector that describes each one’s organisational pattern most closely.

Organisational challenges by sector: the same patterns appear beyond the first seven sectors, including accountancy, clinics and retail.

Reading Across Sectors

The sector pages on this site are organised by how an organisation works rather than by the label on its door. A business whose value sits in the judgement of its people has more in common with another such business than with a neighbour in its own industry that sells a physical product.

That is why a sector without its own page can still be read through one that has. A veterinary group with a dozen clinics shares most of its organisational questions with other multi-site businesses; a regional construction firm shares many with property developers. The entries below suggest the closest match and link to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dedicated pages are added where there is a body of Perspectives that describes the sector properly. The list here is a guide to where the existing patterns are likely to be recognised while that library grows.

No. The list shows where the organisational patterns described in the Perspectives are likely to apply. It is not a statement of experience and not a list of clients.

Start with how your organisation works rather than what it makes or sells: where the value sits, how many locations there are, who holds authority. The entries above suggest the nearest match.

No. The list is illustrative. The seven sector pages and the six Perspectives hubs describe patterns that recur in many more kinds of organisation than appear here.
